David Remeseiro, better known as 'Jason' by football fans, was born on July 6th, 1994, in Os Mallos, Galicia. He is Valencia CF's latest signing, on a deal that runs through to June 30th, 2022, and has made a reputation for himself due to his speed, versatility, character and scoring instincts.
The new arrival began as a striker, but at Juvenil level he moved to both the left and right wings, as well as a position behind the forward. His adaptability has been evident right up until his final season with Levante UD, in which he was also used as a sweeper and fullback.
Jason started out at Impérator in his home region, before Deportivo La Coruña snapped him up for their academy. He stayed at the Galician giants up until the first year of 'Cadete' competition, when Depor elected not to renew his contract.
Not to be dissuaded by the setback, Jason signed for the small Montañeros Club de Fútbol team, playing two seasons before a move to the Racing de Ferrol youth team. His scoring exploits there led to him being picked to represent Galicia at Under-18s level, including an appearance in the final of the Spanish regional championship in which he scored a free kick to force extra time.
It was in the summer of 2012 that he joined Levante UD, playing Juvenil and 'B' team games. His LaLiga debut came in the 2013/14 campaign, against Sevilla FC.
Relegation for the Levante B team meant that the club sent him on loan to Villarreal CF's youth team for further progress, but he would return to the side in January of 2015 to help them achieve promotion to Segunda B -as well as playing two Primera División games.
Another loan spell followed, to second tier side Albacete in 2015/16. The next year, he became a regular for the Levante first team in their promotion campaign, scoring 10 goals. His excellent performances have continued over the past two seasons.
